はい、茨木ジャーナルです。

早いですねぇ。もう、今日がその日です。
JR茨木駅、エキスポロード沿いにあるブックランドとおのが、今日16年の営業に幕を下ろします。

夜遅くまで開いていて、ふとした時に立ち寄れたので、やっぱり色々思い出すこともあったり・・・。
「とおので本を買ってお茶でも飲みながら本読もうかなぁ」と思ったのですが、もしかして他にもそんなこと思っている人がいるかなぁと「本屋で本を買ってお茶飲む会」を思いつきました。

「一人ででも、最後にとおのさんで本を買ってカフェで読書しよ～」と思っていたのですが、数人の方から「参加したい」とご連絡がありました。そこで、10月17日（土）にとおのさんへ一緒に行ってきました。

とおので本を買ってお茶飲む会

午前10時ちょっと前のブックランドとおの。
やがて・・・

 

そろそろそろ～～～っとシャッターが開けられていきます。
今日参加する方々と、お店前で合流。
とおのさんで、ゆっくり本などを見てまわってお買い物しましょ～と、ゆるゆるとお店に入り、流れでそれぞれ本を選びだします。

参加する人同志で自然と、本のことや作者のことを話したり。
お客さんからのメッセージボードに、メッセージを書いたりもしました。

最初に記事にしたときには、まだ少なかったメッセージですが、この時にはもうたーくさんのメッセージが貼り付けられていました。

とおので働くスタッフさんからのメッセージもありました。

ブックランドとおののオープン時期からスタッフとして働いているKさんは
「今は辞めてしまったスタッフなんかも、閉店するって聞いて店に来てくれて、嬉しかったです。オープン時期からのスタッフは少なくなっていますけど、それでも今いるスタッフはみんな10年以上働いているんですよ」と言います。

「いいお店で、こんなにいろんなことを自由にさせてくれる本屋って、ないと思ってます」と、会社の方々へも感謝していると話してくださいました。

「癒しスポットでした」というメッセージも。
うーん、わかるなぁ。。。。
私も、本を買う！と思って行くより、どちらかというと「ちょっと寄ろうかなぁ」と思って行って、ふと「いいな」と思う本に出会うみたいな場所でした。

この日も朝から多くのお客さんが来店していました。
本を買っていくほとんどのお客さんが
「長い間ありがとうね」と声をかけて行ってらっしゃいました。

とおのの中をウロウロしていると、NHKのテキストとかはもう置いていなかったり、数の少なくなっている書籍があったり、あぁ閉店するのかぁと寂しくなってきます。

「朝のスタッフって4人いるんです。シフトで、そのうちの3人が勤務って感じだったんですけど、最後の日の朝は、店長と4人のスタッフ全員で入らせてもらうんです。5人で店に入るって初めてなんですよ」とKさん。

実は茨木ジャーナルで掲載した「とおの閉店」の記事を見つけてくださったのは、Kさんの子どもさんだったのだとか。

「その子が2、3歳の頃からとおので働いているんですよねぇ。とおので育ててもらったような感じかなぁ」と感謝の気持ちでいっぱいだとKさんは話して下さいます。

アカン、アカン！聞きながら、ちょっと胸が熱くなってきました。

長く働くスタッフが多くて、みなさんが仲良くて、お客さんが閉店を惜しんでメッセージを書いていて、「長い間ありがとうね」と声をかけていて・・・。

やっぱり、ブックランドとおのって、いいお店やったんじゃないのかなー！
うーん、寂しいです。

10月19日（月）、ブックランドとおのさんは夜まで営業してます。
22時半まで営業・・・だったかな？ちょっと不安ですが、ゴメンナサイ。
でもでも、遅くまで開いてますよ、確か。
もし「あ、そう言えば今日やったか！」と言う方がいたら、どうぞ最後に立ち寄ってみてください。

カフェで本と本屋の話を

とおのさんで本選びを堪能して、お買い物終了後は春日商店街へ移動しました。

春日商店街の「カフェレードル」さんへ行きました。

初めて出会う人たちと本屋で買い物して、カフェに行く・・・って、ちょっとワクワクしますね。とおのから歩いて行きながら、自然と会話が弾んでいきます。

「本屋で本を買ってお茶飲む会」なんて名前はつけていましたが、特別何をどうしようとは決めていないゆる～い時間。
ブックランドとおのことをきっかけに、せっかくなのでお互いにどんな本を買ったのかをシェアしました。

絵本、好きな作家さんの本、自己啓発の本、食べ物に関する本、ずっと集めているシリーズの本、気になっていたテーマの本など、どうしてこの本を選んだのか、どんな本が好きなのか、どんな読書が好きなのか、話は広がりました。
家族のこと、仕事のこと、ライフスタイルなどの話でゆる～く楽しく過ごしました。

春日商店街も、ここ数年は新しいお店もオープンして、カフェレードルさんは訪ねたこの日もとても多くのお客様で賑わっていました。
カフェレードルさん、ご協力いただきありがとうございました！

本屋さんも商店街も、地域の人が利用するって大切なことなんでしょうね。

この日、お茶を飲みながら
「とおのはやっぱり利用しやすかった」という話が出ました。
広くてオシャレな本屋さんも品揃えが豊富でいいけれど、逆に探すのに戸惑ったり、なんとなく落ち着かなかったりすることもという話でした。

あー、とおのさんは「地元の本屋・ブックランドとおの」だったんだなぁ。
改めてそんなふうに感じますね。
